Tupelo, MS (GTI) – North Mississippi Health Systems and North Mississippi Medical Center provided a new course titled, “Hospital Medicine Training and Simulations Course” to nurse practitioners in their healthcare system on January 2-4th, 2017. Providers representing multiple services including APP Fellows, Hospitalist Program, Infectious Disease, Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care enjoyed a robust course including simulation scenarios incorporated in the training.
The top 10 hospital admissions diagnoses including CHF, Chronic Renal Failure, Diabetes, Acute Coronary Syndrome and Pneumonia were included in the course. GTI faculty traveled to Tupelo to provide world-class training to these providers. The course was so popular, additional courses are scheduled for February and March in Tupelo. Participants received over 24 Contact Hours from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners for continuing education credit.
