Among Medicare beneficiaries admitted to the hospital between 2008 and 2016, there was a decrease in post-discharge 30-day mortality diagnosed with pneumonia. The findings were recently released by the U.S. Hospital Readmissions Reduction Program (HRRP), and patients’ outcomes. This may be due to all-embracing education efforts to manage pneumonia. This module addresses a wide-spread review of admitting diagnosis of pneumonia and its management on hospitalist services.
